Nollywood Actor Emmanuel France Passes Away

Veteran Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has passed away, leaving a significant mark on the Nigerian film industry. Known for his memorable performances in films like Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director, France was a beloved figure in Nollywood, particularly admired for his depth and versatility in acting.

He was reportedly in his 80s at the time of his passing. The news was confirmed by Nigerian filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe, who expressed his sorrow on Instagram on Monday, sharing fond memories of the late actor. 

“Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France,” Ogedengbe wrote. “One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director. R.I.P.”

As of the time of this report, the cause of France’s death remains unconfirmed.

His passing has left fans and colleagues in shock and grief, coming just days after the death of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry.
