Abdullahi Adamu, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared his withdrawal from active involvement in partisan politics. He cited a growing aversion to political engagements as the primary reason behind his decision to retire.
Speaking on Saturday during the launch of a book titled ‘Progressive Governance, Showcasing The Achievements of His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State 2019 – 2023,’ authored by Abdullahi Tanimu, Adamu expressed his inclination toward stepping away from political affairs.
In addition, he encouraged the people of Nasarawa State to lend their support to Governor Abdullahi Sule. Adamu commended Sule for not only sustaining but also enhancing the accomplishments of his predecessors in office.
According to Adamu: “I am not only a retiree but I am out of politics. I’m beginning to develop a little allergy to political activities and political speeches.
“So, forgive me, I will not make any political statement beyond asking for more support for the governor of the state.
“He needs all your prayers and goodwill to be able to succeed.”
