Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has described Barcelona as the best team in the world ahead of their UEFA Champions League meeting.
The Super Eagles forward said the encounter would be difficult but expressed excitement about facing the Spanish giants at Rams Park.
“The Barcelona match will be a tough game, but to be honest, like my teammates, I’m also very excited for this match because I know Barcelona is one of the best teams in the world and currently the best team in the world,” Osimhen said, as quoted by HT Spor.
The Nigerian international spoke after Galatasaray defeated Kasımpaşa 3-1 in a Turkish Super Lig match on Friday.
Osimhen added that playing against Barcelona at Rams Park would be a memorable experience.
The striker has yet to face Barcelona in the Champions League while playing for Galatasaray.
The last meeting between both clubs was in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie on March 17, 2022.
Galatasaray lost 2-1 at home after both teams played out a goalless draw in the first leg at Camp Nou.
