Why I Donated N25m to APM, Forged PDP Alliance — Kawule

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Rt. Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule, has donated N15 million in cash and office equipment valued at N10 million to the campaign organisation of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The donation was made on Sunday during the commissioning of the APM campaign office along Gombe Road under the platform of Kauran Bauchi Like Minds, a political group comprising members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the APM.

Kawule also facilitated a political alliance between the PDP and APM, saying the partnership was aimed at securing victory for their candidates, particularly in the 2027 governorship election.

He said the coalition would embark on extensive grassroots mobilisation across villages, wards and local government areas to canvass support for the parties’ candidates.

“We are Kauran Bauchi Like Minds. We are loyal supporters of Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and are committed to ensuring the victory of all our candidates in 2027,” he said.

Kawule urged members of both parties to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate actively in the elections, while advising youths to shun violence and maintain peaceful conduct throughout the campaign period.

Speaking at the event, former senator Ibrahim Adamu Gumba described the alliance as a strategic step towards electoral success and commended Kawule for spearheading the initiative.

Leaders of both parties pledged to sustain the partnership and work together towards achieving victory in the 2027 polls.

Cash support was also distributed to executive members of both parties to facilitate the operation of their joint campaign offices and mobilisation activities.
