In a strategic move ahead of the Ward Development Programme rollout, President Bola Tinubu has named Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the “Renewed Hope Ambassador.”
According to the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Uzodimma will also serve as Director-General for party outreach, engagement, and mobilisation, positioning him as the leading promoter of Tinubu’s agenda nationwide.
As part of his responsibilities, Uzodimma will collaborate with APC governors and party officials to ensure unity, effective coordination, and grassroots support for government programmes.
The administration highlighted key economic achievements, including a seven-month consecutive decline in inflation to 16.05% in October, stabilisation of the exchange rate, and an increase in foreign reserves to over $46 billion.
Investor confidence is reportedly returning, with both foreign direct investment and portfolio investments growing, particularly in oil and gas, solid minerals, and the stock market.
Efforts to expand access to education and streamline services include a liberalised student loan scheme enrolling over 700,000 students and a faster travel passport process now completed within a week.
The Ward Development Programme is intended to deliver micro-projects, social services, and livelihood support directly to all 8,809 electoral wards in Nigeria, forming the core of the Renewed Hope agenda.
Tinubu tasked Uzodimma with ensuring that Nigerians are fully informed about the government’s accomplishments, helping reinforce the nationwide message of Renewed Hope.
