World Cup Playoffs: Chelle Says Eagles Are Slowly Understanding His Style

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has said that his players are slowly adapting to his way of playing and understanding his ideas on the pitch.
Nigeria beat a tough Gabon team in extra time to reach the World Cup playoff final, showing patience, focus, and determination.

After the match, Chelle explained that his main goal since taking charge of the team has been to give the Super Eagles a clear identity.

“For me, the most important thing is for our team to have an identity—how we defend, how we attack, and how we control the game,” he said.

The coach added that every international window is an opportunity to improve the team. He praised his players for their hard work and willingness to learn.

“The players are improving in their skills and their thinking, and they are starting to understand exactly what I want from them,” Chelle said.

With the team getting more confident and working together better, the Super Eagles are now focused on the playoff final and keeping their World Cup dream alive.
