It was a day of celebration in Calabar on Thursday for about 500 market women who benefited from various cash grants through a combined efforts of Senator Oluremi Timubu, Tomy Ellumelu foundation and the benevolence of the wife of Cross River State governor, Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu.
Represented by Otu’s wife, Tinubu’s wife and Ellumelu sent in felicitations, urging beneficiaries to invest in businesses that will was tagged: “Women Economic Empowerment Programme.”
Otu’s wife explained that the empowerment was done so that live would be made more meaningful to those”who have been painstakingly chosen to benefit from the grant.”
In a short speech, she said the provision of business grant is to ensure recapitulation to enhance sustainability.
