In celebration of the new Islamic Year 1447AH, the Katsina State Government has declared Friday, June 27, 2025, a work-free day across the state.
This announcement was made through a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Faskari, on behalf of Governor Mallam Dikko Radda. The Governor congratulated Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the arrival of the Islamic New Year, urging everyone to reflect on its spiritual meaning.
Governor Radda emphasized the importance of peace and unity, stating that meaningful development cannot be achieved without a stable and harmonious society.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to people-centered projects, aimed at improving the quality of life for all residents of Katsina State.
As part of his address, the Governor urged farmers and beneficiaries of government agricultural support to make proper use of provided tools and resources. He also cautioned against illegal activities like encroaching on cattle routes and grazing areas.
Radda concluded his message with prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Katsina and Nigeria at large.
