Pregnant Woman Burned with Hot Water by Sister-in-Law in Adamawa

A shocking incident occurred in Dubeli, Yola North, Adamawa State, when a pregnant woman was scalded with hot water by her sister-in-law during a heated argument.

20-year-old Jamila Ishiaku is now in police custody after she poured hot water on her sister-in-law, who was *in labor*, during an argument on Monday, January 27.

Jamila admitted to the act, saying she acted out of anger. But the police did not take it lightly and arrested her immediately.

Police spokesperson SP Suleiman Nguroje confirmed the arrest and promised that justice would be served. He advised people to handle conflicts peacefully instead of using violence.

“If you see something, say something, and the police will take action,” he said.

Despite the terrible attack, the victim gave birth to a healthy baby girl. However, her husband, Gambo Dahiru, is devastated.

“My wife is in so much pain. I have been crying for days. I want justice for her,” he said.

As for Jamila, she will now face the law for her actions.
