The Oyo State Government has announced plans to integrate 5,600 newly recruited teachers into its database, with deployment to public basic schools across the state to follow shortly after.
The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, made this known on Tuesday in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade, in Ibadan.
Adeniran stated that a verification exercise for the successful candidates would take place from Thursday, December 5, 2024, to Monday, December 16, 2024, at the SUBEB headquarters in Agodi, Ibadan. He urged the candidates to ensure timely attendance and provide all necessary documentation for the verification process.
“The verification session will take eight working days and will be witnessed by relevant stakeholders,” he said.
He added that the exercise was part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of teachers in the state.
The chairman urged the candidates to arrive with the necessary documents
The verification process begins daily at 9 a.m., Adeniran said.
He noted that the 5,600 candidates were part of the first batch of successful applicants approved by the governor, emphasizing the administration’s dedication to addressing the state’s educational needs.
It should be noted that OYOSUBEB recently released the list of successful candidates from its recruitment exercise, signaling a significant boost to Oyo State’s basic education workforce.
