Lionel Messi has acknowledged that Inter Miami will mark the final chapter of his playing career before retirement. The 36-year-old forward joined the Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit in 2023 following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.
Messi’s contract with Inter Miami is set to expire at the conclusion of 2025.
Speaking to ESPN Argentina, he stated, “I’m not ready to leave football. I’ve dedicated my whole life to this sport, enjoying the training sessions and the matches. The fear of it all coming to an end is always present. I believe Inter Miami will be my last club.”
