Former Senator of Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, urged President Bola Tinubu on Monday to release all remaining #EndSARS protesters held in detention.
Sani appealed to Tinubu to act in the spirit of June 12, a historic date symbolizing democracy and freedom in Nigeria. He made the plea via X, emphasizing the importance of upholding the principles of justice and human rights.
The #EndSARS protests in 2020, which aimed to address police brutality and societal issues, resulted in some protesters being detained. Sani’s call comes amidst ongoing efforts to ensure the release of those still held in custody.
