Socialite, Fred Ajudua now reports to Abuja police daily over forgery, land fraud

Fred Ajudua, a suspected serial fraudster, has been complying with daily reporting to police authorities in Abuja concerning issues related to land fraud and forgery, according to police sources.

Following his arrest last week and subsequent detention, Ajudua was released on bail to his lawyer, Lekan Ojo, on Saturday, with the condition that report daily to the police.

Sources disclosed that Ajudua’s victims have been frequenting the police unit daily to confront him regarding the alleged fraud.

This development follows SaharaReporters’ earlier report on Ajudua’s arrest and detention in Abuja for land fraud and forgery.

The suspect’s detention lasted for three days before he was released on bail.

SaharaReporters exclusively reported in 2022 about Ajudua’s involvement in various fraudulent activities, including defrauding a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, of $8.4 million. Leaked phone calls revealed Ajudua’s connections with police authorities and magistrates.

In these recordings, Ajudua confessed to possessing over 30 AK-47 rifles and other weapons, as well as having gunmen at his disposal. He also admitted to bribing the then-Delta State Commissioner of Police with N3 million to release seized firearms.

Furthermore, Ajudua was linked to numerous fraud cases dating back to 2001, involving victims from different countries, including Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands. Despite legal battles, he managed to evade substantial consequences, settling some cases through out-of-court settlements.

A source who shared the audio recordings revealed details of Ajudua’s interactions with police authorities and magistrates, showcasing the extent of his influence within the judicial system.

Ajudua’s most recent trial in December 2021 saw him ordered by a Lagos High Court to undergo a COVID-19 test after his repeated failure to appear in court. The defendant cited contracting Coronavirus as the reason for his absence, leading to the court’s decision to verify his claim through testing.

Despite his legal challenges and the ongoing investigations into his alleged fraudulent activities, Ajudua continues to navigate the legal system, prompting scrutiny of his connections and influence within the judiciary.
