The Kaduna State Police Command has apprehended one armed robbery suspect, while two others remain at large.
Confirming the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Kaduna, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, stated that on April 1, police operatives at Narayi Division received a distress call from a resident of Bilyaminu Street in Narayi area, Chikun Local Government Area.
Hassan explained that three individuals, suspected to be armed robbers, had invaded an apartment belonging to Alhaji Muhammad during the early hours of the morning, stealing his Samsung S22 model phone and other valuables. Additionally, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds during the ordeal.
The arrested suspect has been identified as Nura Musa, residing in the Hayin Dan Mani area of Igabi LGA.
“The suspect, Musa, was arrested and found in possession of the carted items and weapons while his two other accomplices, Buhari Attah and Babangida DK, all of the Hayin Dan Mani area, fled the scene, ” he said.
Hassan said the victim was subsequently rushed to hospital for treatment while the suspect was in police custody for further investigation.
”Efforts are ongoing to arrest the other fleeing suspects,” Hassan said.
