Paul Scholes, the Manchester United legend, has criticized the Red Devils after their 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Scholes expressed his view that Manchester United currently lacks the players with the capability to overcome City. Phil Foden’s brace and a goal from Erling Haaland secured the victory for Pep Guardiola’s team, although Marcus Rashford did manage to score a goal for Erik ten Hag’s side at the Etihad Stadium.
In an interview with Premier League Productions, Scholes remarked, “It’s probably the right result. Man City are a class above at the moment.”
“Man United knew that if they went toe-to-toe they would probably get beat, so they came to make it difficult.
“They don’t have the players at the moment that are capable of beating Man City.”
