Abdulgafar Ahmad, popularly known as Cute Abiola, a renowned content creator, expressed gratitude to the Nigerian military for the impact it has had on his life.
Cute Abiola, a former Naval officer, faced detention and punishment in November 2021 for violating the armed forces’ social media policy by sharing a video of himself in military uniform online.
In a reflective post on his Instagram page on Wednesday, Cute Abiola shared photos from his time in a Navy cell and acknowledged the humbling effect it had on him. He expressed gratitude to the military for the lessons learned during his stint in military custody.
Captioning the pictures, he wrote; “30 days Inside cell 2021! The military really humbled me. Thank you Armed Forces. My morale was high. I had a little fun inside the cell at some point.”
It was reported that Cute Abiola left the Nigerian Navy in November 2022 to focus more on his entertainment career, shortly after being appointed as the Special Assistant on Creative Industries by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State.
