Uncle reveals harrowing details of how kidnappers killed Nabeeha

Sherifdeen, an uncle of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, shared a heart-wrenching account of the ordeal faced by the family at the hands of kidnappers.

Nabeeha, along with her five sisters and their father, was abducted from their residence in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Tragically, Nabeeha lost her life on Saturday, and the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N60 million for their release.

During the family’s negotiation with the kidnappers, they were devastated when informed that they had only managed to raise half of the demanded ransom.

Sherifdeen stated, “On Friday, which was the day the deadline they gave us lapsed, they called and we tried to plead and negotiate with them that we were only able to raise close to N30 million.”

As tensions escalated, the kidnappers instructed the family to receive a ‘message’ at a location late at night. Upon arrival, they were confronted with a horrifying scene – Nabeeha and three other victims had been brutally murdered. Sherifdeen recounted the heart-wrenching decision to take Nabeeha’s lifeless body while leaving the other three victims behind.

The situation took a darker turn as the kidnappers, unsatisfied with the offered ransom, increased their demand to N100 million and threatened to kill the remaining five siblings if the new deadline, set for Wednesday, was not met.

Sherifdeen pleaded for urgent intervention from the state and President Bola Tinubu’s administration to prevent further tragedy.

Former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, acknowledged the complexity of paying ransom to criminals but revealed that a friend had volunteered to contribute N50 million towards the ransom for Nabeeha’s sisters.

Pantami emphasized that the situation, compounded by Nabeeha’s death and the remaining siblings’ peril, necessitated the immediate payment of the ransom. He expressed gratitude for the generosity and called for divine intervention and improved security measures in the country.
