The Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board(REMASAB) says it is on monthly basis evacuate over 30,000 tones of Refused Disposal before it has succeeded in clearing the City free of eyesore.
The Board says today it has virtually cleansed Kano of refuse dumps that had littered the state capital for many years.
The Managing Director of the Board,Alhaji Ahmadu Danzago, stated this while addressing newsmen in Kano on Thursday, adding that on daily basis they are removing 50 trucks of refused out of the City.
Danzago said the feat was achieved through a sustained refuse collection operation embarked upon by the board since he assumed office as Managing of Director in July 2023.
During the exercise,he said,the agency was able to rid about 30 major roads of heaps of refuse which had rendered the streets almost impassable.
