The leading Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has advised Igbo residents in Lagos State to contemplate transferring their investments to the Southeast.
Ohanaeze highlighted cities like Aba, Abakaliki, and Onitsha, emphasizing their vast potential for growth. Consequently, the organization suggested that Igbos should explore investment opportunities in these areas.
In a statement by Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, it was expressed, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo encourages Igbos to view this as a chance to reevaluate their investments and consider relocating them to the Eastern region.”
“Our vibrant cities, such as Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha, offer immense potential for growth and development. By investing and building international markets in these areas, we can create prosperous economic hubs that will benefit not only the Igbo people but also contribute to the overall development of Nigeria.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls on all Igbo residents in Lagos to come together and support one another during this challenging period. Together, we can navigate through these difficulties and forge a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.”
