A tragic solitary car crash resulted in the loss of a Kebbi State Police Command officer on Sunday. SP Nafiu Abubakar, the command’s spokesperson, reported that the incident occurred along the Koko/Jega road.
The crash involved a police Toyota Land Cruiser jeep with registration number 5465D, carrying nine officers en route to a crime scene at Kendawa village, Dutsinmari, under Koko/Besse local government area. The vehicle experienced a burst tire, causing it to somersault multiple times.
Inspector Said Idiya lost his life in the accident, while eight others sustained injuries and are presently undergoing treatment at Kebbi Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kebbi.
The PPRO said, “The late inspector has been buried according to Islamic rites while the injured officers are still in the hospital.”
