Sheila, the wife of Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW, the logistics manager for singer Davido, has voiced serious concerns about her safety and that of her family. She made a stark statement, indicating that her husband should bear responsibility if any harm befalls her or her relatives.
The former beauty queen raised an alarm on Friday, expressing fear for her life and her family’s well-being. Her distress stemmed from allegations that Israel, accompanied by a group of individuals, had intruded into her mother’s store, creating a situation of harassment.
These assertions came as a response to Israel DMW’s accusations, where he claimed that Sheila and her family, particularly her mother, were involved in fraudulent activities. He also asserted that Sheila left their marriage soon after gaining fame.
In contradiction to Israel’s portrayal of them as “gold diggers,” Sheila emphasized her family’s financial stability, highlighting her lineage by mentioning her father’s relation to former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole, as “first cousins.”
She wrote via her Instagram story, “If anything happens to me or any member of my family, @IsraelDMW should be held responsible
“Going to my mum’s shop to beat her up? You wan kill pikin, kill mama join?
‘This isn’t even something to be quiet about at this point.
“I was going to post this just yesterday! I held back because aside involving the police I reached out to someone I believe could reach him and would act on it, I say make I no forward so I don’t get the ‘oh you shouldn’t have brought it online.’
“Yesterday! This man carried boys to harass my mum at her shop!”
Their wedding was celebrated in Benin City on October 20, 2022, and was a grand affair, but unfortunately, their marriage hit a rough patch merely eight months later. Allegations of domestic violence and infidelity surfaced from both sides, leading to their separation.
