Several prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have arrived at the Supreme Court in anticipation of the hearings for the appeals lodged by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi against President Bola Tinubu.
Among the dignitaries present in the courtroom are Femi Gbajabiamila, who serves as Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC National Chairman, and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), along with others.
Atiku’s appeal is centered on contesting the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), which upheld Tinubu’s win in the presidential election held on February 25th.
The Supreme Court will also address the petitions filed by Peter Obi and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), all of which challenge the rulings of the PEPC.
The panel of Justices presiding over these appeals is led by Justice Inyang Okorowo.
