Just before the scheduled reopening of primary and secondary schools in the region, Mr. Abiola Oladapo, a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, exhibited his commitment to education by presenting educational resources to over 1,000 students within the state.
Representing Ondo West Constituency 2 in the state Assembly, Oladapo generously distributed these valuable materials, valued at millions of naira, during a complimentary summer lesson event he organized exclusively for the students within his constituency.
As he handed out the materials to the recipients, the legislator conveyed his intent, aiming to inspire young learners at both primary and secondary levels across the state to recognize education as an indispensable tool for their personal growth and the advancement of the entire nation.
He said, ” I just came around to encourage and support the initiative that I started a month ago to develop the students educational background. Students would also benefit from our scholarship programmes.
“Thousands of students across my constituency are benefited from the summer lesson programme. Learning aids were also given to the students. This is just a motivator for the students, they must take their studies serious.”
“I believe education is the most important tool you can receive, that can bring you most success in society today. Education lessens the challenges you would face in life. The more knowledge you gain the more opportunities will open up to allow individuals to achieve better possibilities in career and personal growth.
“I also believe education is important because it helps us develop a unique perspective of looking at life. Education has played a major role for all individuals in the society. It has allowed the community to succeed both socially and economically by enabling it to develop common culture and values. ”
Oladapo took the occasion to call upon the government to escalate its investments in education. Additionally, he extended an appeal to corporate entities and private organizations, urging them to collaborate with the government in propelling the education sector toward progress.
