His declaration has continue to send tongues wagging on social media with some Nigeria questioning his ability to raise such huge ransome within a very short time.
” I have my doubt, N350 million is such a huge amount. I guess our so-called native doctor is after cheap popularity,” a Netizen said on Twitter
Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki was abducted at his palatial hotel, Triple-P by gunmen, who killed his two security guards, on Sunday, July 13, at about 11:30a.m.
According to a source, his abductors demanded N300 million ransom before he could be released.
It was allegedly provided, but they asked for additional N50 million, which was said to have been paid for the widely-believed richest native doctor to regain his freedom.
“This whole thing is related to sit-at-home and they mentioned names of more people they will take, but it’s not something I can say now.
“They killed many in my presence. They killed up to 20 people before me. I did not take anyone’s money, they just came to kidnap and their target were people who have money. They wanted to kidnap as many as 50 people from my hotel that day, but I rather followed them.” Nwagu said
