The hope and aspiration of Nigerian football fans to see Super Falcons and Barcelona Femini striker, Asisat Oshoala feature in today’s UEFA Women Champions League finals now hang in the balance.
Oshoala is still undergoing late fitness test to ascertain her level of readiness ahead of the final. But fresh report from team camp has it that Barca team doctors are still battling to get the striker ready for the clash against Wolfsburg.
The UEFA Women’s Champions League final against Wolfsburg comes up at the PSV Stadium, Eindhoven today and Barca would need all it’s best legs ready for the daunting task.
Barcelona head coach Jonatan Giráldez named a 27-player group for the trip to the Netherlands, with Oshoala and Spanish-Nigerian wonderkid Vicky Lopez making the cut.
However, there are concerns about the fitness of the Super Falcons striker, who is struggling to overcome a thigh injury before the showpiece.
The 28-year-old underwent individual training on the eve of the final as her teammates sweated it out on the pitch.
