Djokovic moves to break Graf’s World No. 1 record

The ATP Tour welcomed three more tournament winners in the champions’ circle, but in the latest ATP Rankings update Novak Djokovic continues his reign at the top of the charts as the world No. 1 player.

With 7070 points, he has now been in the top spot for 376 weeks, being only one step away from tying the record held by legendary player Steffi Graf. Next week, Djokovic is expected to tie Graf’s record, solidifying his place as one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

Another notable player making moves in the ATP rankings is Taylor Fritz,  who is currently ranked 7th with 3455 points. Fritz has become the highest-ranked American player since Mardy Fish in 2011, and is making a strong push to break into the top 5.

Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz is not far behind Djokovic, sitting in second place with 6730 points. Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas follows in third place with 5940 points, while Norway’s Casper Ruud holds fourth place with 5515 points.

Rounding out the top 10 are Andrey Rublev of Russia, Rafael Nadal of Spain, Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada, Holger Rune of Denmark, and Hubert Hurkacz of Poland.

Other American players to keep an eye on are Frances Tiafoe, ranked 15th, and Tommy Paul, currently ranked 18th with 1835 points. Meanwhile, Australia’s Nick Kyrgios, Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, and Alexander Zverev are also making their mark in the top 20.
