Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat artist, was brought before the Magistrates Court in Yaba on Wednesday to continue his trial for allegedly assaulting a police officer less than 24 hours after he was released from police custody.
Seun was with his wife and his attorney, Femi Falana, SAN.
According to Iwitnesslive, the musician departed the Panti Police Station on Tuesday night after completing his bail conditions.
Due to the judge of the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State, Justice Adeola Olatubosun’s absence, his trial, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed until Wednesday.
The trial was postponed, according to Seun’s attorneys, because the judge had to attend a training session.
