Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed the Emir of Lere, His Royal Highness Alhaji Nura Adamu Jumba, as the state’s Amirul Hajj for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The appointment followed the monarch’s exit as Chairman of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board following his elevation from District Head of Lere to the Emir of Lere.
Governor Mohammed, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, said the appointment was part of efforts to ensure continuity and effective administration of Hajj affairs in the state.
The governor commended Emir Jumba for his dedication and contributions to the welfare of pilgrims and the administration of Hajj operations in Bauchi State.
He also appreciated the outgoing leadership of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for its commitment and contributions to the successful conduct of Hajj operations over the years.
Governor Mohammed wished the Amirul Hajj God’s guidance and wisdom in discharging his responsibilities during the 2027 pilgrimage.
