2027: Group Targets 500,000 Votes for Tinubu in Bauchi

The Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) has set a target of mobilising at least 500,000 votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Bauchi State in the 2027 general elections.

The Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Arc. Muktar Ahmad Jarmajo, disclosed this after the group’s weekly management meeting, where he directed its Local Government Coordinators across the state to immediately activate their grassroots structures.

Jarmajo said the target became necessary following the appointment of Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

He said the organisation would leverage its existing political structures across the state’s 20 local government areas to mobilise support for Tinubu and other APC candidates.

“We must activate every structure across the state from local government areas to wards and polling units within the Bala Wunti political ecosystem,” he said.

Jarmajo expressed confidence that the target was achievable through sustained grassroots mobilisation, expansion of membership and effective coordination of the organisation’s structures.

He urged the coordinators to strengthen their structures, register new members and ensure that all affiliate groups were fully prepared for the commencement of campaign activities.

According to him, the number of votes delivered by Bauchi to the APC would influence the level of federal attention and development projects attracted to the state.

He therefore called on members and supporters of Dr Wunti to remain united and committed to achieving the organisation’s electoral objectives.
