BREAKING: Fake PFIPC DG, Adeyemi,  arrested

The self-proclaimed Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, Adeniyi Adeyemi, has been arrested following a warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Adeyemi was arrested shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar ordered his arrest on Tuesday, after he failed to appear in court for his arraignment.

He is facing an eight-count charge bordering on forgery, fraud and impersonation in a case marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025.

Although the case was listed as number 12 on the court’s cause list, Adeyemi was absent when the matter was called.

His lawyer, Genesis Francis, however, appeared in court on his behalf.

Justice Umar subsequently issued a warrant for Adeyemi’s arrest, leading to his apprehension shortly afterwards.

Adeyemi allegedly presented himself as the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, an organisation authorities said does not exist.

He is expected to be arraigned before the court to take his plea on the charges.
