After days of speculation, Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has finally confirmed that her marriage to Bobby Maris has hit the rocks.
The actress took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday with a series of emotional posts, revealing that she has walked away from the relationship after eight years.
Without holding back, Ogbodo said she was exhausted from being the only one carrying the burden in the marriage, insisting that women also have the right to say they are tired.
“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman? Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad! I am tayad of the Princess wey dey marry me. What is wrong with that? To be happy as a woman in marriage nah by connection in this country!

“Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber oo!
“8 years of my life isn’t enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe 6 feet under before the crown of thorns can fit me well.”
Her cryptic but emotional message appears to confirm rumours that the couple had quietly gone their separate ways after months of speculation from fans on social media.
The actress also had a strong message for bloggers and online gossip platforms, urging them to stop spreading unverified reports and instead demand proof before publishing stories about her personal life.

“Ask for receipts.
“Cos I come correct with receipts.
“I’m not like my predecessors o!”
Although Ogbodo did not disclose what led to the breakup, her posts suggest she is choosing her happiness over remaining in a marriage she no longer finds fulfilling.
