A fatal accident occured at the Guru Maharaj Ji end of the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan, Oyo state on Friday with five bodies recovered and eight rescued.
The accident was a fallout of a multiple vehicles collision.
It gathered that the accident involved six trucks, two Toyota Hilux vans and two cars.
It was learnt that one of the trucks collided with a truck parked on the road, leading to a collision which claimed five people.
Those rescued have been rushed to hospital for medical attention, it was gathered.
Chairman, Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident, explaining that the accident was as a result of break failure.
