APM Positions Self as Major Contender in Bauchi Ahead of 2027 Polls

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has intensified efforts to strengthen its political base in Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 general elections with the unveiling of its governorship ticket.

At a ceremony attended by party stakeholders and supporters, Dr. Yakubu Adamu was presented as the party’s governorship candidate, while Hon. Mahmood Babamaji Abubakar emerged as his running mate.

Party leaders described the development as part of broader efforts to consolidate support and reposition the APM as a strong contender in the state’s political landscape.

The gathering also highlighted the emergence of Governor Bala Mohammed as the party’s senatorial candidate for Bauchi South, a move seen by supporters as strategic to the party’s expansion plans ahead of the elections.

In his address, Dr. Adamu called for cooperation among party members and pledged to provide inclusive and development-driven leadership focused on economic growth, infrastructure and youth empowerment.

Governor Bala Mohammed thanked party supporters for their continued loyalty and urged them to remain steadfast in mobilising support for the party across the state.

The State Chairman of the party, Auwal Isah, expressed confidence that the APM would continue to gain momentum as preparations for the 2027 elections gather pace.
