Sule, Ex NAPHCDA Boss, Faisal Shuaib Clinch APC Senatorial Tickets in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has clinched the Senatorial ticket of All Progressive Congress for the Nasarawa North Senatorial district at the just concluded senatorial primary election held on Monday.

Also, the former Executive Director/ CEO, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, (NAPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib has won the Nasarawa West Senatorial ticket of the All Progressive Congress at the Senatorial primarily election held on Monday.

Announcing the results separately at Akwanga and in Keffi, the chairman, Nasarawa State APC National Assembly Primary Election Committee, Abdullahi Musa Guri, declared that governor Sule polled 47,393 votes to defeat the immediately past Director General of National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Silas Agara with 2, 915 votes.

Guri said that ‘ The aspirants received the following votes: Abdullahi Sule got a total of 47, 393 votes, while Silas Ali Agara got 2,915 votes

“Abdullahi Sule having satisfied the requirements of the APC constitution and guidelines and scored the highest number of votes is hereby declared winner of the primary election and retired elected as the party’s senatorial candidate for Nasarawa North Senatorial district” he said.

While announcing result of the Nasarawa West Senatorial district in Keffi on Wednesday, Guri declared former Executive Director/(CEO) of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuaib as winner of the primary elections conducted on Monday.

He said the primaries were peacefully conducted and transparently observed in all the Local Government Areas of Keffi, Toto, Nasarawa, Kokona and Karu, adding that the candidate polled 98,614 votes through an affirmation process.

He appreciated Abdullahi Sule, the governor of the state, for the enabling environment and cooperation the committee enjoyed in the discharge of its responsibility.

Meanwhile, the result of the Nasarawa South senatorial primary election was being awaited, amid tensions within amid outside of the Senatorial district.

The Senatorial ticket of the Nasarawa South senatorial district is being contested between the Nasarawa state deputy governor, Emmanuel Akabe and the serving member of House of Representatives representing Awe/Keana/Doma, Him Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba.
