Award-winning Afrobeats star Davido has spoken about the lessons he learned from his father, Adedeji Adeleke, especially about family and raising children.
In a recent interview, Davido revealed that his late mother, Veronica Adeleke, gave birth only to him and his sister, Sharon Adeleke. He explained that he did not realize until he was older that some of his siblings were not Veronica’s biological children.
The singer praised his father for raising the family with love and unity despite their different maternal backgrounds. According to Davido, his father’s approach to parenting has inspired the way he raises his own children.
Davido, who has five children with different women, said he looks up to his father as a role model in family life and parenting. He shares daughter Imade with Sophia Momodu, daughter Hailey with Amanda, twins with his wife Chioma Adeleke, and another child with UK-based makeup artist Larissa London.
The couple also suffered the heartbreaking loss of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
