Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has weighed in on the reported rift between Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
Speaking in a recent interview, the respected actor advised both actresses to focus on gratitude, noting that they have been greatly favoured by God and should embrace peace instead of conflict.
Ogogo explained that he prefers not to interfere in disputes involving women, describing such disagreements as complex and often difficult to resolve. According to him, while men typically address their issues directly and move on, conflicts between women tend to escalate and become more intense.
He further emphasized that stepping into such situations is unwise, adding that any man who chooses to get involved may be making a mistake. Questioning the root of the disagreement, he pointed out that both actresses are already successful and blessed, making the feud unnecessary.
The veteran actor expressed confidence that, with time, the situation would resolve itself, as the parties involved would eventually come to their senses. He concluded by stating that while he holds both actresses in high regard, anyone who chooses to create division would simply be avoided.
In his words: “ “If they have sense, they should understand that God has favoured them and they should be joyful. I don’t interfere in disputes among women. When men have issues, they talk them through and move on, but when it’s between women, it becomes more complicated than war—very difficult for anyone to step into. It is always worse than Hitler’s war, so it is hard for anybody to interfere.
Any man who gets involved is not acting wisely. What is the reason for the fight? What is really the problem when God has already blessed both of them? Is fighting the next step? Very soon, they will come back to their senses. It is not even my business.
If they choose to be jealous of each other, that’s on them. They are all my children, and anyone who does not want to be part of us, we will avoid.”
