NDLEA arrests real estate CEO for drug dealing in Lagos

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Trans Fortress Global Resources, a notable real estate development firm, Kolapo Raji, over alleged drug dealing.
The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this via a statement issued on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Babafemi noted that Raji has been on the anti-drug agency watch list since 2025 following credible intelligence.
He added that the 57-year-old CEO was arrested at his Safe Court Apartment residence in Ikate, Lekki in Lagos State, on February 12, 2026, following sustained surveillance after his return from the United Kingdom.
Babafemi said a search of Raji’s residence led to the recovery of four large bags containing parcels of Canadian Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, with a total weight of 89.20kg.
The NDLEA spokesman stated: “Also recovered from him at the point of his arrest was a 2024 model Toyota Hilux. In his statement, he claimed he got involved in the illicit drug trade after financing some consignments for his overseas associate.
“He said hundreds of millions of naira paid to him as profit by his associate motivated him to establish his own independent drug distribution channel.”
He added that a suspect, Ugwuja Kingsley, was also nabbed with 56kg skunk at Agbara in Lagos State on February 19, while Ekwe Arinze was caught with 76kg of same substance at a motor park in the Oshodi area of Lagos on February 17.
