2027: APC governorship aspirant canvases for support in Badagry division

A governorship aspirant in Lagos State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, has appealed to party leaders in Badagry division to support him in becoming the next governor of the state.
Ajose made the appeal during an APC engagement with Local Government Area Coordinators in the 10 LGA and Local Council Development Areas in Badagry Division held at the weekend.
The meeting convened by Ajose brought together grassroots coordinators, party stakeholders, and political leaders.
The aim of the meeting  was to strengthen political structures ahead of the coming electoral cycle.
Speaking with the party delegates, Ajose said “We have come here to seek for your support, we need your support to get there.
“It is through your support that will make us to rebuild our city. Nobody will come from outside and build it for us,” he said.
Ajose described Badagry division as the future of Nigeria. “We are not being marginalized but we are waiting for our time.
“Now, it is our time to take over the state and by God’s grace, the Oracle will speak in our favour.
“This is the opportunity for Badagry, and we must explore it. We should stay united and ensure we achieve our objectives,” he said.
The APC governorship aspirant said he started his earlier campaign with the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
“We have also promised that Badagry will not be waiting or going to Lagos to collect money but money will be going to Lagos from here.
“We have started that by providing assistance to all the 57 local governments and LCDA during local government election and others,” he said.
Ajose commended President Tinubu for rolling out massive policies and development. “We have seen what our president is doing with all these massive developments and policies
“Governors and states are earning more money in their allocation that’s why many of the governors are decamping to APC.
“Everyone is seeing the massive work out president is doing that’s why they are now running to APC. President Tinubu is sure for 2027,” he said.
Ajose appealed to the people of Badagry division to ensure they register in the ongoing APC E-Registration to enable them to win the 2027 general election.
“Party registration is very important, in Lagos alone, we have over 6 million voters, but looking at the present APC E-Registration, the party is yet to register one million members.
“It is important to know that if APC will elections convincingly, we have to go out and convince other party members to register with our party,” he said.
Hon. Joseph Bamgbose, an APC Apex leader in Badagry-West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) said the purpose of the meeting was for the aspirant to get familiar with APC leaders in the 10 councils in Badagry division.
Bamgbose urged the people of the division to unite and work to ensure Ajose attain governorship post in Lagos.
“This is the right time for Badagry to claim it’s rightful position after so many years,” he said.
Also speaking, Oba Oladele Kosoko (Ogundeyi) the Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom, said the emerge of Ajose as APC aspirant from Badagry is an opportunity for them.
The traditional ruler urged the people of Badagry to stay united and explore the opportunity.
An APC chieftain from Ikorodu advised Badagry people to support the aspirant, adding that the APC leaders in Ikorodu had agreed to work for Ajose to fulfill his dream.
Apart from representatives from Badagry Division, political leaders from across the four divisions of Lagos State were also in attendance.
