Osun Agency makes case for legislation to protect investors

Managing Director of Omoluabi Holdings Limited, Taofiq Alimi, has advocated for the enactment of a legal framework to protect investors from political interference and abrupt policy changes.

He assured that change of government would not hamper the policies and growth of the agency.

He stressed that the move is part of the firm’s efforts to restore investor confidence and ensure sustainability of public–private ventures in the state.

Alimi, who spoke with journalists in Osogbo, Osun state, yesterday, noted that the agency, through its consultants in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, drafted agreements designed to prevent arbitrary termination of investment arrangements

He disclosed that the initiative was part of their broader efforts to restore investor confidence and ensure the sustainability of public–private partnerships within the state.

He advocated the need for stable management, stating, “People managing the business will not return to previous ways or allow politicians to hijack operations and treat them politically.”

Alimi further said, “The best we can do is create a solid legal basis. All agreements we establish with any investor aim to ensure that no one can come in and disrupt operations. We are collaborating closely with our consultants and the Ministry of Justice to guarantee that our agreements are respected.”
