The Chief Executive Officer SMA Foundation, Mr Samuel Mauyon Ajose, on Tuesday paid a condolences visit to the Akran royal family in Badagry.
Speaking at the palace, Ajose who is a leading contender in APC Governorship Aspirant said the death of Akran was a big loss to the people of badagry and to the people of Lagos state.
“This is not the kind of time Akran should leave us but you know God knows better.
“We came here today to pay our condolence visit to the family, we have met them inside and every support that the family needs we have given them all assurance that we are going to be there.
‘You know we don’t just come and be celebrating his death honestly we are so glad that we were able to celebrate his 89 year old in 2025.
“We had the opportunity to celebrate him while he was alive so whatever is going to be happening here today is going to be celebration of life,” he said.
Ajose described the monarch as an king because all the vices we hear happening all around Nigeria Badagry has continued to remain peaceful and calm.
“It takes a lot to do that and our prayer is that even as he has departed that peace that he left behind continues to reign amongst us.
“So we will be in touch with the family we are going to give the all the support they can possibly need or ask for towards this burial because this is our burial.
“We are going to be the one to host everybody that is coming to Badagry,” he said
Responding, Prince Adeyemi Akran, the first son of Akran said it is not easy to lose a father.
“I will say his death has shown that we should celebrate life and value and cherish the time we have with our loved ones.
“Today, I will rather celebrate than mourn, his legacy has done a lot in the land of Badagry not for the people alone but also for the people far and wide he has left a legacy.
“Akran has impacted on so many lives in my mind I know it is a reason for celebration for us and we shall celebrate his majesty to the best of our capacity,” he said.
