Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an example leader who has love for his people especially people of the state.
Mohammed who made the commendation when he received President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a condolence visit to the State over the weekend for the late Islamic scholar Shiek Dahiru Usman Bauch who passed away last month.
He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the condolence visit and for honouring the memory of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi by renaming the university, even as he described the move as a proud moment for Bauchi State and the nation.
According to the governor “Your Excellency were very great full were very delighted for this visit, Mr President you have sent the Vice President with a powerful delegation, all the Minister’s from the region and later on the minister of finance, and up course you had to come by your self this shows the kind of affinity and respect you have for the family of late shiek Dahiru Usman Bauchi and others.
“And I’m equally happy that the APC family not let us dawn because as you can see from the Airport dawn you’ve seeing the crowd of people.
“Bauchi people love you as you love them, it’s a reciprocal love. We thank you more sincerely for your coming”,.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the renaming of the Federal University of Sciences, Azare, in honour of the late eminent Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, in recognition of his enduring contributions to Islamic learning and moral leadership.
The announcement was made during the President’s condolence visit today, where he commiserated with the family of the late Sheikh and offered special prayers for the repose of his soul.
President Tinubu arrived at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, and was warmly received by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, in the company of Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, ministers, and top government officials.
Notably present were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, and other dignitaries who joined in welcoming the President.
President Tinubu’s delegation included the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, the President’s son, Seyi Bola Tinubu, and several notable personalities.
While extending condolences to the family of late Sheik, government and the entire citizens of Bauchi State, Tinubu described the demise of Sheik Dahiru Bauchi as monumental, appreciating the warm reception accorded.
He, however, commended Governor Mohammed for carrying everybody along, describing him as his brother and hardworking, resilient and determined individual.
