The Code of Code Bureau (CCB), has called on the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Bayo Ojulari, to publicly declare his asset to avoid being prosecuted for breaching the law.
The CCB in a letter signed by Director FPO, Sulaiman Abubakar, told th GCEO that paragraph 11, part 1 of the 5th Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), requires public officers to declare their assets.
“The Section provides that every public officer should declare his/her asets and liabilities to the Code of Conduct Bureau,” Abubakar said in the statement.
According to him, the asset declaration should be at the beginning of office; at the end of every four years; and at the end of the term of office.
He therefore told Ojulari that he has seven days, which began on August 25 and ended on September 8, 2025, to declare his asset.
“Failure to declare, the bureau will be left with no other option than to consider taking legal actions against you according to the Code of Conduct Tribunal Act.
