A series of Israeli air attacks across the southern Gaza Strip has left several Palestinians dead and many more injured, underscoring the continuing humanitarian crisis in the region. In a separate incident, another individual lost their life in Abasan al-Kabira, also located east of Khan Younis. Local sources confirmed these fatalities amid ongoing shelling and aerial bombardment.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that over the past 24 hours alone, Israeli strikes have killed 32 Palestinians, including 12 children and 8 women, while leaving 88 others wounded. This intensifying conflict has compounded the already dire situation for civilians, many of whom are living in overcrowded conditions with limited access to medical care, food, and clean water.
Since the conflict escalated in October 2023, Israeli operations in Gaza have claimed at least 69,546 Palestinian lives and injured 170,833 individuals. Meanwhile, Israel continues to recover from the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks, which left approximately 1,139 people dead and about 200 taken captive. The cycle of violence has deepened animosities on both sides, making any immediate ceasefire or peace agreement increasingly complex.
The humanitarian impact remains severe, with hospitals struggling to treat the wounded amid power shortages and limited medical supplies. International organizations continue to call for restraint from all parties, urging the protection of civilians and the facilitation of humanitarian aid.
