Mother of BBN Season 10 Winner, Ìmísí, Publicly Debunks Claims of Sending Her Out at 12

A new video circulating on Instagram has shown the mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Ìmísí, responding to the emotional claims her daughter made both during and after the show regarding her childhood experiences.

In the video, Ìmísí’s mother voiced her shock and disappointment over the allegation that she sent her daughter out of the house at the age of 12. According to her, such an event “never happened” and remains completely unfamiliar to anyone in their family.

“I was shocked when I heard her say I sent her out at 12,” she said in the video.

“I have no memory of such a thing because it never happened.”

She further explained that after hearing Ìmísí’s claims, she reached out to her own mother (Ìmísí’s grandmother) and her sister to verify if they remembered any such incident. According to her, both women denied ever witnessing or hearing about Ìmísí being sent away.

“I even called my mother and my sister,” she added.
“Both of them said they don’t know anything about this story. It never happened.”

Addressing another sensitive part of Ìmísí’s revelations — her claim of being r*ped while growing up — the mother said she was unaware of when or how the incident occurred. She pleaded with her daughter to publicly clarify the timeline to avoid further misconceptions.
“When was she r*ped? How did it happen? I don’t know anything about it,” she said.

“She needs to explain when this happened because people are now thinking I knew and kept quiet.”
She expressed worry about the backlash the statements have caused, explaining that she now faces insults and harsh judgments from people whenever she steps out.
“People insult me outside. They call me a bad mother. The backlash has been too much,” she lamented.
