At a special ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President awarded national honours—Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON)—to all 24 players and the 11 members of the technical crew.

In addition to the honours, each player and technical staff member will receive a three-bedroom apartment in the Renewed Hope Housing Estate in Abuja, as well as a generous cash reward. Tinubu approved the payment of the naira equivalent of $100,000 to each player and $50,000 to each member of the technical crew.

Speaking during the event, the President said the gesture was to appreciate the team’s hard work, unity, and dedication to making Nigeria proud.

Also present at the event was the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, who announced that all players and crew members would also receive N10 million each from the 36 state governors.
