Anambra Election Will Prove Our Political Strength – ADC’s John Nwosu Declares

ADC's governorship candidate John Nwosu has called the upcoming Anambra election a defining moment for his party and its coalition, insisting it's time for credible leadership in the state.

John Chuma Nwosu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election, says the contest will serve as a powerful test of the party’s unity and strength.

During a media chat in Abuja on Tuesday, Nwosu described the election as a “ground zero” for the party and its coalition allies to prove their ability to rally support and push for genuine change.

Despite recent concerns that the new All Democratic Alliance (ADA) registration bid might slow momentum, Nwosu reassured the public that ADC remains a fully recognized and stable party with a track record of presenting trustworthy candidates.

“ADC has never been deregistered. We are in good standing and ready to lead,” Nwosu affirmed.

The former Labour Party member also spoke on his decision to leave LP, stating it was due to irregularities and the breach of internal democratic principles.

“I didn’t leave because I lost the ticket. I left because I refused to play along with a flawed process,” he clarified.

He emphasized that Anambra voters are politically aware and will support candidates with integrity and vision. Nwosu vowed to welcome more parties into the coalition and called for unity to replace what he described as the current administration’s failed leadership.

“If elected, I’ll adopt servant leadership, engage the people, and make decisions that reflect their voices,” he promised. “I might not be a professor, but I have the common sense needed to lead wisely.”

With the countdown to the election underway, Nwosu said his focus is on building a broad alliance to ensure victory and drive positive change in Anambra State.
