Valencia defender Christian Mosquera has reached an agreement on personal terms with Arsenal as a potential move is anticipated this summer.
Arsenal initially made an offer of approximately €14 million for Mosquera, which was rejected. However, it has been reported that Valencia is open to negotiating a deal for a fee exceeding €20 million.
This information was shared by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X on Sunday. He wrote: “Arsenal have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Christian Mosquera. A new proposal will be submitted after the opening bid of €14 million was rejected by Valencia. Arsenal hopes to finalize the deal for a fee in excess of €20 million, and talks are underway.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta aims to have Mosquera serve as backup to his first-choice defensive pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
