2025 FG Recruitment Begins: Here’s How to Apply for Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire & Correctional Services Jobs

The Federal Government has officially opened recruitment for 2025 into NSCDC, NIS, FFS, and NCoS.

If you’ve been waiting for a federal job opportunity, now is the time to act. The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Interior, has announced the recruitment of new officers into four major paramilitary agencies. These include the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The application process officially opened on Thursday, June 26, 2025. According to the government, the online portal will remain open for three weeks. The best part? The entire application is free — you don’t need to pay anyone to apply.

To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35. You must also meet certain physical and health standards. For men, a minimum height of 1.65 metres and a chest width of at least 0.87 metres is required. Women must be at least 1.60 metres tall. Anyone with a criminal record or questionable character will be disqualified immediately.

In terms of qualifications, the minimum educational requirement is a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with four or five credits, including English and Mathematics. However, those with higher qualifications such as NCE, OND, HND, or university degrees are also encouraged to apply. Whether you’re a fresh graduate or a diploma holder, there’s an opportunity for you.

Applicants can only apply to one agency, and under one category. The four agencies open for application are NSCDC, NIS, FFS, and NCoS. Roles are divided into three categories: Superintendent Cadre (Category A), Inspectorate Cadre (Category B), and Assistant Cadre (Category C). Applying to more than one agency or multiple roles will lead to automatic disqualification.

To apply, visit https://recruitment.cdcfib.org. Once there, create an account using a valid email address and phone number. After logging in, select your preferred agency and role category. Next, fill out your personal information and upload the necessary documents — these include your educational certificates, a recent passport photo, your birth certificate, and a valid national ID.

Before submitting, review your application carefully to avoid errors. Once satisfied, click submit and download your acknowledgement slip. This slip serves as proof that you applied and will be required during the screening phase.

The government also warns that the application process is completely free. Anyone asking you for payment is likely a scammer. Applicants are advised to submit only one application, as submitting more than one will lead to disqualification. Additionally, computer literacy will be seen as an advantage during the selection process.

This recruitment is a golden opportunity to serve your country while building a stable career. If you meet the requirements, don’t delay — apply as soon as possible and help spread the word to others who might benefit.
