Ortom, PDP Stalwart Gives Tinubu’s Administration Thumbs up

Former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, a  stalwart of the main opposition party,  the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) on Friday gave kudos to President Tinubu’s Administration,  saying he has performed beyond expectations.

The  former governor who joined the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike to inspect some projects in Abuja, noted that Tinubu exemplified  a true statesman who understands what partnership across party lines means.

While he said that Tinubu has managed the country judiciously  by ensuring  guality delivery of good governance and grassroots development,  he urged Nigerians to support him.

He also applauded Wike for the commitment he has demonstrated towards the assignment given to him by President Tinubu.  They said that Wike has not disappointed his friends who have been standing by him.

Specifically,  Orton said, “I commend my friend for not disappointing us, for making us proud.

“I think Mr. President means well. Let us leave politics aside and join hands with him to ensure that we are not distracting him about 2027 and so on. Let us work together with him, because he means well.

“Mr. President is looking beyond party affiliation. That is why he brought my friend and leader, Minister Nyesom Wike, to be Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, despite the fact that he won the election on the platform of the PDP. This is a strategic partnership, and all of us, because if we don’t have a country, we cannot in any way have a nation to have a position”, Orton added.

The Minister, Nyesom Wike who spoke about the newly completed Bus Terminals, said his administration has a sweeping reforms on the pipeline for  revamping the transportation system in FCT.

Wike disclosed that before the commissioning of bus terminals,  he would roll out measures that will sanitise the system and ensure safe and secured transportation schemes across the nation’s capital.

“Obviously, a lot of things will happen in the transport sector, there will be a lot of reforms. In fact, the committee is working, before we get to even commissioning, we’ll come up with our transport sector reforms.

“As part of security measures, we must know those who are involved in doing their taxi business, and what colour, so that if anything happens, we’ll be able to identify them. So, just be assured that we are doing everything possible. This time around, we are working to see that we don’t have a lot of parks on the road”.
