Award-winning Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi has tainted Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin as she performs at Abimbola Fashola’s 60th birthday party.
In a video captured online, the famous singer was seen singing at the birthday party of the former First Lady of Lagos state. In the clip, Abimbola was captured dancing with her husband as her friends and family serenaded her while Tope Alabi performed some of her melodious songs.
Taking to her Instagram page, Tope gave a special shout-out to the celebrant, who she described as a dear mother. She prayed for God’s blessings in her and wished her more prosperous years.
“Birthday wishes to our Dear Mother, Abimbola Fashola, as she celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday.
As you step into this new age, I pray God’s blessings for you all the days of your life. May your strength continually be renewed by God, ma.
I wish you many prosperous years ahead in Jesus’ name”.
The birthday performance for Abimbola Fashola is coming days after she refused to perform at Lizzy Anjorin’s birthday party.
It was reported that Tope had refused to honour Lizzy at her surprise birthday party on Friday amid payment. According to reports, Tope refused to perform when she got to the venue and realised who she was performing for.
Speaking out, the controversial actress dragged Tope Alabi as she noted how she is a brand that her husband built with an empty stomach. She noted how when Tope had issues with Ajanaku, she stood by her and listened to her music.
Liz noted how she is a Muslim and, as such, didn’t expect her fans to invite a gospel singer to her birthday. She claimed she could never use her money to call Tope Alabi to sing for her.
